Admissions

When do you begin accepting applications for September admission?
Enrollment is handled on a first come, first served basis beginning about February 15th. We continue to take applications until the classrooms are filled; then a waiting list is formed. It is best to complete the application/enrollment process quickly to ensure a place for your child.

What is your age limit for Preschool?
3 years of age by September 1st. Children need to be potty trained.

What are your criteria for accepting students in the WCCS Preschool program?
Based on the application forms, a discussion is held during the interview with the director to determine whether the WCCS Preschool is a proper placement for the child.

Could I schedule a time to observe a classroom before I decide to apply?
Yes. Call the school office (626-962-7089 or 626-962-7080) and we will coordinate a time that is convenient with you and the teacher.

Do all the forms have to be turned in at once?
The following form is to be turned in with the application:
Child's Pre-admission Health History.
Upon acceptance into the preschool program the following forms must be turned in before your child can attend:
Identification and Emergency Information, Identification and Emergency Form, Physician's Report, Consent for Medical Treatment, Notification of Parent's Rights, Personal Rights and Admission Agreement.

What is the process for my preschool child to be accepted into the WCCS Kindergarten program at age 5?
The parent must submit an application along with the application fee. Then a time will be scheduled for the child to be assessed with the Gesell Developmental Test, an individual hands-on test, to determine their readiness for our kindergarten program. An interview is set up with the Principal to discuss the test results.
