Capture The Vision (News)

August 21, 2009
Dear WCCS Families, Bethany Church Families, WCCS Alumni, and friends of WCCS:
In May 2007, we kicked off our “Capture the Vision…Building for the Next Generation” campaign for new Jr. High buildings. Now, it’s two years later, and we want to
thank you for your help,
update you on our progress,
and let you know what remains to be done.
Our goal was to increase the usable square footage for each classroom from around 650 square feet to 1,000 sq. ft. — an overall increase from 2,619 sq. ft. to 4,009 sq. ft.! That would provide over a 50% increase in classroom size!
Our starting point. |

An update on our progress!
We’ve seen another miracle in the building process itself! So many people committed themselves to assist with the demolition and the construction, starting with the faithful, sacrificial volunteer efforts of our project manager, Bob Wakeman, and head contractor, Chris Kearney. Bob and Chris along with many of you who have donated countless hours of volunteer service to see this project to completion. The awesome efforts of our volunteers and committed leadership have the buildings up, roofed and wrapped. We are truly at the final stages of “Capturing the Vision!”
So “Thank You!” for how you’ve prayed for our building process...and for how you’ve volunteered!
